In business since 2004, GreenMouse, Inc. began as a single-site electronic waste collector located in the heart of the Silicon Valley where technology corporate cultures quickly adopted the company’s unique philosophy for building communities by providing a friendly and convenient way to dispose of unwanted waste. Evelyn O'Donnell, a Silicon Valley veteran executive, founded the company after a 15-year career in high-tech marketing and sales. Evelyn's vision was to create an environmentally purposeful company that would also provide sustainable employment and training to disadvantaged adults.
GreenMouse Recycling/LA brings that same culture of care, commitment and community to Los Angeles and especially to the tech-driven, digital entertainment industry where Ms. O’Donnell has long time business ties.
GreenMouse Recycling/LA exists to make a contribution to responsible recycling, job creation, and community fundraising and only pursues opportunities consistent with this purpose. The company believes it has a responsibility to contribute directly to the well-being of the communities in which it operates. GreenMouse Recycling/LA serves as host of the “Working Actor” program that helps aspiring performing artists by offering work with a flexible schedule affording them an opportunity to attend training classes and/or audition for commercials, productions, and etcetera. GreenMouse Recycling/LA also provides opportunities for the “Working Actor” members to attend and assist at industry events, such as the Emmy’s, Tony’s and the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences Foundation’s annual Celebrity Golf Tournament.
The firm’s corporate headquarters and collection center are located in Silicon Valley, near San Jose Airport. The company offers free e-waste recycling services (collection and drop-off) to businesses and residential consumers primarily in the Silicon Valley and surrounding cities and counties. The company also serves other cities and counties throughout California, usually as part of a community recycling events. GreenMouse Recycling uses recycling to help support community jobs programs and fundraising for non-profit arts and theatre groups.
GreenMouse Recycling is approved by the State of California (CEW #103153 and EPA #CAR000203497 to provide electronic waste recycling services to businesses, schools, non-profit organizations and government agencies.
We provide our customers with the confidence that their end-of-life equipment will be recycled according to the rules and regulations set forth by the State of California. Further, GreenMouse Recycling is committed to adhering to the responsible recycling "R2" guidlines, which are voluntary practices used to assess and certify electronics recyclers environmental, health and safety, and securty practices.
